These days it’s hard to know where to invest money (just in case I should come into any). It isn’t just the problem of getting a low rate of return, we all now know there is a very real risk of losing it all.
Remember the adage “time is money”? Is that true? If so, how should I be investing mine? Actually, I think time is more than money….much, much more.
What is time anyway? One answer is: “it’s what my life is made up of”. Therefore,
what I invest it in is terribly important.
I have a choice to make: I can either invest in things that are temporary, or things that are permanent, (by permanent, I mean eternal). If you were going to invest in eternal things, what would that look like? How many eternal things do you know of?
I think it comes down to people, all of whom are going to continue to exist after death (even those who don’t think so). After all, that’s what Jesus invested in….and he invested all he had. Here’s the amazing thing: I get to reap the benefit of his investment. Because he gave his life for me, I get to live forever with him! All I have to do is give him my heart, my trust, my time.
Seems like a good deal to me!
